Our next workshop will be on the 10th March and it’ll be a full day of cutting and sticking. This workshop promises to be full of inspiration and creativity and involves getting very creative with a load of old junk. We’ll start at 10 and go on until 6.
Well, recycling to be exact. We’ll be making a mini book from just about anything you can sew, staple and glue together and showing you some inventive ways to pretty it all up.
So, if you fancy coming along start collecting some interesting bits and pieces. Here is a list of possible things you can collect:
- Envelopes, used ones are especially interesting with stamps and post marks
- Old book pages, text book, discarded notes on exercise books
- Tickets, tags, receipts
- Fancy packaging, interesting card with bold patterns and colours
- Clear packaging makes great windows
- Postcards, cards and invitations
- Don’t forget the junk mail which usually gets discarded and thrown in the recycling
Bring your art materials, stamps, ribbons and embellishments as usual.
Here’s a link to the one I made; Junk Journal
If anyone has a sewing machine which is easily portable we would be very greatful if they would bring it along please.
As it’s a full day we’ll be having a “pot luck” lunch. So if you could bring something with you (it doesn’t have to be a big thing) to contribute it’ll be very much appreciated.
Hopefully see you there
Jaine
