Meet up on Saturday 30th September

Hello there

I suppose you’ve been wondering what’s happened to the workshops this year? Well after a bad start to the year it made me think long and hard about the rest of the year and with such little interest in the classes it didn’t seem worth carrying on to be honest. However that’s not to say we can’t still meet up and as we’ve another two dates booked for the hall in Keispelt we thought it would be a shame not to take advantage.

I know it’s short notice now but we have the room booked for this coming Saturday 30th September between 10:00 and 5:00pm. Come and join us for some craft and chat. All day or part of the day it’s up to you. Bring something to work on or something you’d like to finish off as we’re on hand if you need a bit of help.

I’ve had a request to supply a junk journal kit and if you’d also like one of these let me know so I can bring it along. The kit is 20€ and contains everything you’ll need to put together a junk journal and of course it’ll give you something to work on while you’re there. I’ll also be bringing some of my shop supplies and some past workshop kits at reduced prices.

I hope you can join us on Saturday if not the last date in the year is November 25th.

KUKI Arts and Crafts Fair 2017

A week has gone by already since Mosaik Scrappers went out on the road to participate in the KUKI art and craft market in Kehlen. The weather was glorious and the organization was spot on. Katherine, Lena and myself had a prime spot opposite the Salle de Musique so there was alot of traffic passing by and lots of interest for our tent.

We divided ourselves into two halves, I had half of the tent selling hand made books, cards and notebook covers and the other half was being run by Katherine and Lena where they had a Make and Take table creating ATC’s for anyone who wanted to stop.  There are lots of photos on our Facebook page if you want to take a look it’s at facebook.com/Mosaik-Scrappers you’re welcome to join us.

Eventually a winner was picked at random from the ATC participants who will receive a small card kit from Katherine.

A massive thank you to Katherine and Lena for helping on the stand and Congratulations to the winner. Thanks also to Katherine for providing the prize for the ATC.

Prayer Flag Workshop

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year? I also hope you’re ready for a new year full of inspiration and craftiness.

We’re starting off the year with our first workshop on 28th January and the theme is prayer flags/banners.

We’ll be putting together one or more flags made from fabric, papers, embellishments and including an inspirational word or two to help keep us motivated through the year. Don’t worry about the sewing, it’ll be a minimum of hand sewing so there’s nothing complicated about it.

As usual it’s a full day workshop with a pot luck lunch in between and the workshop comes with a kit of course to start you off. End Of Summer Workshop

I hope everyone has had a good summer despite the mixed bag of weather which seems to have affected all corners of the world. As I’m writing this I’m about to fly off to Italy for two weeks for some sun sea and sand.

When I get back I’ll be getting ready for our next workshop and I can’t wait. We’re back to making a mini album again to keep the memories of Summer fresh in our minds and this time it has a bit of a twist. I’m not sure if any of you have caught the travel journal/planner craze but I’m totally hooked. If you want to know what I’m on about you can see mine on my blog at Basement Studio  So I thought We could make a mini album in the style of a travel journal and as usual we’ll be using a kit which includes everything you need to create the project from start to finish. All you’ll need to bring are your summer photo’s preferably small ones, for example square 6 x 6cm so you could print lots on one A4 sheet of photo paper.

The workshop will be held on Saturday 24th September in the Keispelt Creche as usual and is a whole day from 10am to 5pm. The cost of the whole day workshop with kit will be 30€ and for more information about how to secure a place just send a mail to either Lena Koch at lenakoch@hotmail.de or Jaine Drake at  jaine_drake@hotmail.com”

Saturdays workshop

I’m getting ready for the workshop on Saturday. We’re a small number again but that’s ok as I know we’ll have fun, what could be better than a day with no responsibilities just messy fun?

As usual there will be a kit but there are one or two things it’ll be necessary to bring with you;

1-2 photo’s regular size for the frame,
a wide paint brush for spreading gesso and glue
some background stamps and ink
a cutting mat, knife and ruler

I think that’s it, anything else and I think we’ll manage with what we’ve got in the cupboard.

I look forward to seeing you on Saturday at 10:00 at the Keispelt Creche as usual.

Workshop May

It’s almost time for another workshop, the next one is on Saturday 28th May. It’s another full day 10 – 18:00 but is divided into two parts.

For the first part we’ll be making some Artists Trading Cards using some simple mixed media background techniques and hopefully we’ll be able to swap them too.

The second part will be to create something from nothing – well almost. We’ll use ordinary cardboard to make a picture frame.

As usual there’ll be a kit included and the price is 30€ for the day. We’ll have the usual “pot luck” style lunch and who knows if the weather is good we could even make it a picnic.

In freundlichem Ambiente verbringen Sie zusammen mit  anderen Kursteilnehmerinnen einen kreativen Tag. Sie erhalten einen „Kit“ zum Preis von 30€.

Zum gemeinsamen Mittagessen soll jeder sein Essen mitbringen.

Back to Scrapping with a new workshop

Hello there everyone. Will someone put the brakes on a bit, where did January go already?

I hope you’re all fired up for a new season of workshops starting on March 5th in Keispelt  where we’ll actually be holding two workshops during the day.

The first is in the morning and we will be Making Embellishments From Scratch. We’ll be using paper, fabric, and other bits and pieces to make little embellishments and flowers which can be used on all sorts of projects. Cards, scrapbooks, gift wrap, you name it.

In the afternoon we’ll be putting together a Scrapbook Page Layout and for anyone who attended the mornings session, they’ll have the opportunity to use their embellishments. Of course there’ll be plenty in the kit to work with even if you didn’t do the embellishment course.

The courses are 15€ each which includes a kit of materials and to sign in you just need to send either 15€ for one workshop or 30€ for the whole day to;

Dates for 2016

A very happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a good Christmas and didn’t over indulge too much.

We’ve now got some new dates for 2016 so take a note.

March 5th – A whole day of workshops which this time will be divided into two. In the first workshop we’ll make embellishments which can be put on layouts, cards or used on any of your papercraft projects. The second workshop will be a whole layout and you can use the embellishments you’ve already used.

May 28th – A whole day of mixed media fun with lots of painting and mess making.

September 24th – A summer themed mini album to keep all those memories.

This weekend 8th – 10th January is the Creative Expo at the Foire Luxembourg. I think this gets bigger each year and it’s right on our doorstep.

Finally, I’m offering a 20% discount in my online shop until the end of January using the code BS20JAN16 and of course if you pick up from the shop you don’t pay any delivery charge.

New Shop Open

 

After months and months of talking about it and planning it I’m happy to say my little on line shop is now open.

We’ve all the brands you’re familiar with and we’ve also got some kits too. I’m hoping to be able to put together lots of different kits to go with the workshops we do.
